FOUNDER & CO-DIRECTOR

Emily Bland

Emily founded WiCA to help women find their place in concept art. She is also a Junior Concept Artist at Industrial Light & Magic.

She studied Design for Film and Television, then took an MA in Concept Art. Art books sparked her love of visual storytelling.

Emily loves seeing artists celebrate each other’s work. That shared excitement inspires her own practice. Her advice: stay curious and keep developing your core skills.

CO-DIRECTOR & PROJECT MANAGER

Priya Singh

Priya brings a love of fictional worlds to her role as co-director and project coordinator.

BioShock Infinite and Into the Spider-Verse sparked her ambition. She pursued an MA in Games Art & Design. Gothic art, architecture and mythology shape her work.

Priya believes community makes the journey easier. She encourages artists to care for their mental health and learn from setbacks.

CO-DIRECTOR & COMMUNITY MANAGER

Valeriia Konstantinova

Valeriia is a co-director and WiCA’s community manager. She studied concept art and animation before joining Atomhawk as a Junior Concept Artist.

Her designs draw on history, folklore and architecture. She loves the craftsmanship found across different cultures.

Supportive friendships helped Valeriia build her career. She values honest feedback and wants other artists to find that same encouragement.

Grace Ruyin

An amazing visual development artist, Grace is working to make sure our whole team feels connected and supported 

COPYWRITER

Brittany McCassey

Studied as a character artist for many years and now is working at Cats Protection Charity in the UK and helping organisations to improve their writing.

She has a love for games and has 2 cats and a dog and can't wait to own her own farm.

Hanin Mhdawi

A freelance artist and former teacher finding fantasy in everyday things.

She wants WiCA to be a place where artists can be themselves, uplift each other and pursue their work with support.

Bárbara Miranda Vasconcellos

An environment artist and first-place winner of the Veiled Realms challenge.

She brings a love of games, design briefs and imagined spaces, and a commitment to building an encouraging community where women feel welcome.

A character and creature designer building worlds filled with stories.

​After experiencing WiCA’s feedback and support during her final-year project, she wanted to give that encouragement back to other women.
